More Than Ponies CIC (MTP) is an artist led initiative, with no core funding. MTP is an artist-led programme, shaped and led by artists and their ideas. We are intentionally light, intentionally avoiding the urge to have a permanent space with the associated costs and overheads that kind of set-up can incur. Our energy, enthusiasms and any resources we secure we wish to use to make art happen.

We are committed to fair pay to artists in accordance with the Paying Artists Campaign and Paying Artists Manifesto for Artist Led Work. We believe that artists should be paid whenever anyone else in a project is being paid. We will never expect artists to incur unreasonable costs. When making bids for funding we follow these guidelines and always include funding for artists.

We also acknowledge that in these current times funding is scarce. We recognise that artists often work outside standard economies. Sometimes we will make the personal decision to work unpaid. Sometimes we will approach others to work with us in mutually beneficial arrangements.
